.: Sticking to Routines :.
What is your daily routine like? Think about it before you even start reading. Does our daily routines have God in the picture?
Even as I was on my way to school this morning, something just caught me. I was so hurried to be out of the house by 610am, if not I might be late for the MRT which will come just around 2 mins after I reach the train station. Thats provided I walk not at a slow pace to the station, but a slightly moderate pace.
Just as I mentioned my usual morning procedure, I am sure many of you all can already find out the routines which I will always follow every morning. I was just sharing with my G12 sisters last G12 meeting that I wake up every morning at 550am and be out of the house by 610am, they were all mouth wide, shock! Wondering how I can get wash up, change, drink my cup of milo within such a short 20mins. Well I just told them, it is possible. As I thought about it, it can be possible as every morning, what comes next for me has already become a routine to me.
Good routines in our lives will build up discipline and hence they will allow us to also have a good sense of time. Just like it is our usual routine to brush our teeth every morning.
My question is how much of a routine have we build up on guarding those precious moments we have with the Lord?My routine in this area will be reading the Word every morning once I reach my workplace, before the school starts for the day. At times I would have to go about my first 1h of PE lesson without having eaten breakfast, as I only have time to read the word and no time to eat. By then assambly and lessons would have started.
In my morning routine to school, I normally see the same people on the train, meet the same people when I walk into the staff room. Just like this, I believe God is also expecting me already every morning, to come and be with Him, to seek Him in prayer and read His word.
Lets build up good routines and stick to them, routines that emcompass the Lord in them. This will allow us to be really living a victorious live as each new day, we have nothing to worry, nothing to fear, nothing to hold us down, as we have a routine to seek Him first!
