This statement is indeed so true. Have we allowed our hearts to be split into different rooms and some we wont allow God to come in? God should be filled in every single room in our hearts, not just some or a few. Self - conceit is dangerous. It is the road to deception. It will cause our hearts to turn hard and cold.

I recalled how I used to always live my life in the pass glorious days and still think I am just like that. I also carry this attitude then into thinking I am good enough and I am capable and hence this makes God small in my life, and someone who I will only call out when I need Him. At times serving God seems outwardly to be really on fire, but deep down inside, I am withering away, living in the world of my own. Life becomes superficial, fake at times.

Then God had to bring me to a point where I was so broken and hence came to realised all that I have done or achieve, He is not impressed at all with any of them. I came in repentance at the foot of the cross and indeed I want to live a life where my heart is not harden to the words and the prompting of the Lord!
