.: Week 2 Day 3: Looking out for open doors! :.
The picture above is one of my Freshmen in the past that I got to know from the very first Engin camp that I joined as a councillor! Haha.. yeh it has been some time since I last met up with her, or even the entire group, which is still very close together. And guess what! They have all already just graduated from NUS! Time flies right!
This cute girl from my school was also one of my 100k Blessing today. Was waiting to meet up with my friend, Jia min, and hence walking around Tampinese Mall. Then all of a sudden she came up to me and said hi.. Was glad to see her and she was with her friend from Nee Ann Sec. Chatted with them for a while, and then we parted. as I walked away and they made thier payment at the counter, I just felt maybe I can just take out my 100k Blessing card to bless them. My final blessing for the day ended off with my collegue! This one is the most amazing and exciting one! Actually just today before I left school, I did not arrange any meet up with her. Then I just suddenly remembered I could ask her out for dinner since today I dont have any arrangement as of yet. It might be a bit last min, but no harm just asking and see how. When I posted the question to her, she readily agreed. I was shocked! Maybe sometime last week we already said to meet to eat before I leave, hence guess it also happen she was free. Everything just fell in place so timely! Must have been God's plan...
As guess what was the first thing after we set down got our food for dinner.
" Ah Ju Lee, you know normally how much does a bible cost?"
I was stun and amazed at the open door God gave for me to talk further on this. I did not even have to start talking on anything close to this, she had already opened the conversation with the bible! To cut things short, another collegue of mine actually gave her a bible and she was super stun upon receiving it. She actually had a good enough chat with him on many issues and questions which common peoepl searching for God would have. It ended well that chat as she managed to find out more as that collegue of mine with shared with her actually have been researching much on the word of God. The next thing I knew also she actually did say the sinners prayer on her own some time ago. I last remmebered sharing with her my faith and she was still hesistant on doing that, and I remembered I told myself I need to keep her in prayer. So guess what she really did receive on her own at the end! Praise God! She also had friends who are christains and had been sharing much with her all these while. Hence throughout the entire dinner, most of our conversation was sharing and trying to answer some of her challenging questions about God and christainity! Phew.. felt God was there guiding me with his wisdom.. as some of the questions not easy to answer! Haha..
At the end of everything, she readily receive my prayer blessing and for the first time through all my 100k blessing contact, she was one whom I prayed the longest for and she say it is ok, as she dont mind! Haha.. Woh! When God moves.. nothing can stop!
Learning point
I actually had MC for today, and I could have not gone to school. My voice was still not there, speaking was still a problem, with my hasky voice, but I just felt I cant miss out on the people whom I can bless and just went ahead. Many of my collegues asked me how come I so funny have MC then still come.. well told them my days are numbered there (seriously they are in that school).
Indeed I did not see that open door what the Lord gave upon me, I might have just miss the opportunity today to bless these 4 people! Lets be sensitive to what God has for us and make full use of each day that is given to us that blessing will become part of our lifestyle!
So far I guess I have spent about close to $200 on buying things to bless the staff room and students in my school.. Yup thats a bit of money, but if it does plant a seed in their hearts, it is all worth it! Am sure God will move even as I continue to pray and make my last 3 days in school a really meaningful one!
